Two Recent Paintouts
I was out to paint twice recently. The first time I met Maryann at the South Abington Park nature trail; and, the second time I met Maryann and Joanne at the cemetery on Miller Rd. The first day was warm and beautiful--the second was COLD and beautiful! Hopefully they will also upload photos of their work to the blog as I didn't take my camera along with me.

I am impressed. Love the tall one at the top...that was the warm day, wasn't it? (warm being relative) I love the shapes within that vertical space.
You southern girls are tough...come on up to Susquehanna County if you want to paint some snow...bring your foot, hand & pocket warmers...or do like Monet did; two fur coats & a portable stove for standing out on a snowy road with his easel.
Thanks. Yes, the tall one is from the warm day.
hi phyllis,
found you through frank,so nice to see your still painting plein air,the buildings below are really strong.
have a wonderful 2009!
Hey Rob! Thanks. I haven't given up yet--2008 was difficult but hoping for more strength in 2009. Hope you have a great year as well.
I'm looking for a print (painting/sketch) of the South Abington Park or any area of Clarks Summit, My son, who moved out of town, would like one for his home.
Janet, not sure how long ago you left the message here but you can email me--wprennie@live.com. I have several plein air paintings from CS if you are interested.
