Summer Showers
Here is my small pastel painting from this afternoon. I think it qualifies as plein air since the studio window was wide open and I was looking out into the garden during a rain storm.
I've painted under roof when it was raining a couple of times. I find rainy days have their own particular beauty but I'm unable to translate that into paint. My rainy day paintings are simply dreary.
